I ordered 1 kg börek (500 g cheese, 500 g meat) for around 445 TRY. I paid 420 TRY and should have owed 25 TRY more (≈ 1 €). Instead, the cashier kept my lira and insisted I owed 11 € more. This was not a mistake — it was overcharging. Tourists should be careful and always double-check the exchange rate here.
